MBA Graduate Appointed CEO of the Seychelles Licensing Authority

University of the West of Scotland (UWS) graduate Ronny Antat has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Seychelles Licensing Authority (SLA) by The Office of the President.

Ronny studied the UWS MBA in Business Administration in the Seychelles as part of a Trans-National Educational (TNE) partnership between UWS and University of the Seychelles, graduating in 2019.

Prior to his appointment as CEO, Ronny was the Development and Assessment Manager at the Seychelles Fishing Authority and has 12 years of experience working in both the private sector and the public sector.

The Seychelles Licensing Authority was established in September 1984 and it is an authority under the portfolio of the Ministry of Investment Entrepreneurship and Industry. The role of SLA has evolved over the years in line with the political and economic reforms which have taken place in the country. This was considered as another vital and important step in the Government’s endeavour to improve the business climate in Seychelles.
