“Our last meeting went very well because I got to do a mock interview with my mentor and his colleague to prepare me for my summer placements.”
“I feel like I got a great insight into the different areas that a Civil Engineer can go into and how different they can be.”
The UWS Employer Mentoring Programme supports second, third and fourth year students from all disciplines to gain insight to industry and develop their employability skills with the support of an industry professional.
Since its commencement in 2012, the project has supported 346 students to be matched with an industry mentor, with a further 62 students this academic year currently being supported.
The next intake for students for the UWS Employer Mentoring Programme will commence in October 2020.
