Graduate Celebration events April 2022
University of the West of Scotland was delighted to welcome over 1,300 graduates from 2020, 2021 and 2022 to UWS Paisley campus to celebrate their academic achievements with family and friends.
The events, which took place from 4 – 8 April, were organised to celebrate in-person, the incredible achievements of those who graduated online from UWS in 2020, 2021 and March 2022, during the Covid restrictions.
Whilst no formal ceremony took place, alumni who had graduated online were welcomed by UWS Interim Principal Dr Lucy Meredith, offered an opportunity to hire academic gowns, have professional photography taken and were given access to the historic Paisley Abbey for personal photographs.
The campus was buzzing with activity, with alumni and guests attending from all over the UK and as far as Pakistan. Thanks to everyone – graduates, families and friends who came along to the celebration events – we hope you enjoyed the occasion!
